Set Pin

Many of the library resources or services require authentication. These include online renewal or requests, accessing the e-forms, remote access to the electronic resources and others.


Since 16 January 2006, the University Libraries has changed to a ONE login authentication environment.


HKU staff & students and HKU SPACE staff will login with their HKU Portal UID and PIN. This is the same as the HKU account names and passwords. For new students, the HKU Portal UID and PIN are distributed upon their admission registration. Staff members who do not have a HKU accounts can apply for one from the Information Technology Services. Find out more about HKU Portal UID and PIN.


Other library users (SPACE students, Alumni, Circle of Friends, JULAC users, Distance Learners in Mainland China) should login with their Library Card numbers and PINs. First time users from these groups can set up the PIN here. If you have forgotten your PIN, please approach Services Counter for help.
