Library staff at the counter provides assistance in the use of resources and services. Enquiries may also be made by phone (3917-2914), fax (2548-0143) or email at Email-a-Librarian.
- Research Consultation Service
Orientation & Training
Library orientation and training are organized for new students at the beginning of the academic year. Demonstration on specific resources or classes on legal research skills may also be arranged on request.
Photocopying & Printing
Self-service photocopiers and printers are available on both floors of the Library and are operated on a quota-based system, uPrint. Library users can purchase or top up printing units using uPrint App (HKU Staff/students only) or at an Add Value Machine (all users) located at the Printing Room in the Library. The cost is HK$3 for 10 units or HK$30 for 100 units.

Should you need to photocopy pages from a looseleaf binder, please bring the whole binder to our counter staff and ask for assistance.
Study Spaces
The Library offers a variety of study spaces on both floors to cater for different student needs.
Computer Room
The room has 26 seats equipped with desktop computers connected to network printers and a projector for presentation or other instructional purposes. When it is not in use for library classes or other trainings, it may be open to users.

Automated Book Drop
This is located outside the Law Library in Cheng Yu Tung Tower for instant check-in of library materials. With real-time check-in, the book drop updates user’s library account instantly. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Reserve materials request (teachers only)
Teaching staff may request online for materials in the Library to be placed in the Law Reserve collection.
