Requests

All loans items are subject to recall once the item is requested by another user. The loan period will be shortened once users place a hold on an item and users are advised to check your circulation record from MYACCOUNT@HKUL regularly and return the recalled item within 14 days from the date of recall to avoid overdue fines incurred or suspension of borrowing privilege.

If you are unable to find an item on the shelf and the item status shows "Available", please complete and submit Search for a Missing Item form.

 

 

Reference Services

Staff members at the Information Counter (3/F., Main Library) provide general reference and guidance in the effective use of online catalogues, reference materials as well as electronic resources in the Library. Enquiries may be made to Information Services by phone, fax or email. In-depth research services and consultations on a particular subject can also be arranged.

Library orientation and user education programmes are organized for new staff and students at the beginning of the academic year. Special orientation and training on databases for individual or groups may also be scheduled on request.
