「龍應台的香港筆記」新書發佈暨演講會

來到香港滿三年之後,龍應台交出了她的「作業」:「龍應台的香港筆記@沙灣徑25號」。香港大學新聞及傳媒研究中心將聯同香港大學中文系於本年十一月七日舉辦新書發佈演講會。活動由港大圖書館及天地圖書有限公司協辦。

 

龍應台所有著作都有臺、港、大陸、新馬不同地區不同版本,但是「香港筆記」在香港首發,而且是全球唯一版本,創下龍應台個人出版史的第一次,「這是一本為香港而寫,為香港而出版,為香港而存在的一本書」,龍應台說,「也紀念一個外來作家與香港的緣分,對香港的感情。」來港三年,龍應台不以外人自居,卻以熱烈的關懷,直接涉入香港語境。

「沙灣徑25號」是香港大學所提供的教授宿舍,給了龍應台思索香港的廣大空間。將之成為書名的一部份,龍應台說,是希望它成為一個人文地標,標示港大對人文關懷的重視。

「香港筆記」完整集結了三年來龍應台為香港所寫的文章,包括對西九龍的全面探討和對添馬艦的深刻質疑,對香港人性格的細緻觀察,以及描繪香港生活的抒情散文。最特殊的是,書中蒐集了香港讀者給龍應台的信,信件真誠流露,為二十一世紀的香港刻畫了鮮明的心靈圖像。

龍應台的新書發佈會由作家及「我這一代香港人」的作者陳冠中主持。陳冠中是文化觀察的佼佼者,與龍應台在香港談香港,將是香港文化的盛事。

About the Speakers

book cover Prof. Lung Yingtai (龍應台) is a celebrated essayist and cultural critic, with a total of 15 published titles to her credit in Chinese. Essays in other languages had appeared in European newspapers such as the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung before she accepted the appointment as the first Cultural Minister of Taipei in 1999. During her 4-year term as cultural architect of the city she has designed as well as practiced a new concept of cultural policy, which has had a great impact on contemporary culture in Taiwan and greater China. Lung's poignant and critical essays contributed to the democratization of Taiwan. As the only Taiwan-born writer with regular columns in major newspapers in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, USA and Southeast Asia, she is one of the most influential writers in the global Chinese language world.

She joined the Journalism and Media Studies Centre of the University of Hong Kong in August 2004 and will take up the position of Chair Professor of arts and humanities at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan in 2005.

 

image1Mr Chan Koon Chung (陳冠中) is a producer, writer, screenwriter, actor, and presenter. He founded the groundbreaking cultural Magazine 號外 (City Magazine) in 1976.
