Online Application Form for HKU Graduates

Eligibility

As defined in the University Statutes, HKU Graduate means “a person: (a) on whom a degree has been conferred at a congregation of the University; or (b) whose name has appeared on the list of successful candidates for a degree of bachelor, master or doctor of the University, published in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Senate, and who is awaiting the conferment of that degree at a congregation”. Please supply mandatory proof of graduation with your application for HKU Graduate card.

Application

• Applicants will be notified by email upon successful application. Any applicants without a Facilities Access Card should collect the card in person at the Enquiries Counter on the 2/F of the Main Library. Please check service hours for card collection.
• If an application is incomplete or unsuccessful, the applicant will receive a cancellation email with further instructions.

Notes:
(i) Access to the selected e-resources may be changed by the vendors of HKUL without prior notice. It may be used for the purposes of research, education or other non-commercial use only.
(ii) Some of the licensed e-resources are restricted to current HKU staff, students and/or SPACE users.

Terms and Conditions

1. An individual is entitled to the borrowing privileges of one user category only.
2. The above fee schedule and card validity may be reviewed and changed by the University Libraries regularly as needed.
3. A fee of $150 will be levied for the replacement of lost or damaged card.
4. Library charge and facilities access card fee including card replacement fee are non-refundable and non-transferable.
5. All members must abide by the policies, rules and regulations of the Libraries.
6. User's access to and use of licensed databases are governed by the terms and conditions in the agreements made between the Libraries and the licensors. Any use of the databases by means of the user's library account signifies user's acceptance of such terms and conditions. Authorized use is limited to educational purposes and the scholarly research of the user. Access to these resources may be changed by the University Libraries without prior notice.
