Introducing ReadingList@HKUL

Published by at 10:29 am under Breaking News

The University Libraries is pleased to introduce ReadingList@HKUL.

For students & faculty:

From 11 September 2018, course reserve materials and reading lists will be available via ReadingList@HKUL from the Libraries’ search tool FIND@HKUL.

ReadingList@HKUL will replace the course name/course code/course instructor search fields in FIND@HKUL Advanced Search to provide an enhanced interface for finding and viewing course reserve materials assigned by course instructors and other lists created by the Libraries.

For course instructors:

ReadingList@HKUL is also a convenient tool that helps course instructors build reading lists.  It is integrated with the library system and HKU Moodle, and delivers reading lists directly into your Moodle courses.  This powerful tool:

  • Allows easy and quick creation of dynamic reading lists
  • Provides students with a streamlined experience
  • Delivers and links directly from your Moodle course for student access
  • Makes it easy to communicate with the library to ensure availability of course materials

To start preparing course reading lists for your students, add ReadingList@HKUL as an external tool in your Moodle course. View this video to see how to add the tool.  Or contact your Faculty or Branch Librarians for further details about the tool.

Best wishes,

Peter Sidorko

University Librarian
