The Knovel University Challenge: new grand prize

In response to the record breaking participation, Knovel has upped the stakes. To reward the schools with the most activity, they’re  adding an additional prize for the top performing school. At the end of the contest, a student at the school with the most entries will be awarded a brand new eco-friendly Toshiba laptop.

E-resource cancellation: General Onefile, OmniFile Fulltext and Academic Universe

In order to lower the library’s recurring resource liability to compensate for its
budget deficit, the following three aggregated databases will not be renewed upon expiry.

Other alternative resources that will continue to be made available include ProQuest 5000 International, EBSCOhost Academic Search Premier, Factiva and Lexis.com. Eligible users may also request needed materials via Interlibrary Loan.
