Copyright in Teaching and Learning
Use of Interlibrary loans (ILL) Materials

 

The Libraries provide Interlibrary Loan services in compliance with the Hong Kong Copyright Ordinance (Cap. 528) for the purposes of private study or scholarly research.

Requesters must agree to the following declaration when submitting a request:

  1. The photocopy or reproduction of the requested item will be used solely for private study or scholarly research purposes.
  2. I have not previously been supplied with a copy of the same article or with copies of more than one article contained in the same issue of the periodical by any librarian.
  3. To the best of my knowledge, no other person with whom I work or study has made or intends to make, at or about the same time as this request, a request for substantially the same material for substantially the same purpose.
  4. I will not reproduce, communicate, or otherwise disseminate the copy without a license from the copyright owner or beyond the scope of a permitted act under the Hong Kong Copyright Ordinance (Cap. 528).
  5. I acknowledge that I will be asked to fill in, sign, and return a declaration form provided by the lending library after submitting a request, and I will follow the instructions upon receiving the email.

 

Personal data provided will be used solely for the purpose of the application and for sending library notices. The Libraries reserve the right not to accept a copying order if, in their judgment, fulfilling the order would involve a violation of copyright law.
