Set Pin

Many of the library resources or services require authentication. These include online renewal or requests, accessing the e-forms, remote access to the electronic resources and others.

Since 16 January 2006, the University Libraries has changed to a ONE login authentication environment.

HKU staff & students and HKU SPACE staff will login with their HKU Portal UID and PIN. This is the same as the HKUCC/HKUSUA account names and passwords. For new students, the HKU Portal UID and PIN are distributed upon their admission registration. Staff who do not have a HKUCC/HKUSUA account can apply for one from the Computer Centre. Find out more about HKU Portal UID and PIN.

Other library users (SPACE students, Alumni, Circle of Friends, Distance Learners in Mainland China and JULAC users) should login with their Library Card number and PIN. First time users can set up the PIN here. The PIN is alphanumeric and can range from 3 to 30 digits. Users who have forgotten the PIN should go to the Registration Counter on G/F of Main Library. Our staff will clear the old PIN so that you can set up a new one on your own. Find out how to set up your PIN here.
