Compact Storage Relocation Project

 

With the completion of the new entrance on the 2/F of the Main Library, the existing Electrical Mobile Shelving System (compact storage) on the 2/F needs to be relocated to the Ground Floor and the 4/F of the Main Library to transform the 2/F into a welcoming and flexible learning space that blends in well with the new entrance. The relocation will involve designing, dismantling, reconfiguring, and modifying the compact storage.

The project will be conducted in two phases:

Phase I: 16 June to 31 August 2016

Phase II: 24 December 2016 to January 2017

With any renovation works, disruption and noise is inevitable. With this two phase approach, we hope to minimize the disruption and noise to our Main Library patrons.

I hope you will tolerate the temporary inconvenience that the construction will generate in order to further improve our Main Library.
