What do paper and ink remind you of?
Artisans in China have long used ink rubbings to record texts and images as a means of preserving their culture. Organised in collaboration with The University of Hong Kong Libraries Preservation Centre, this workshop presents a unique opportunity to appreciate the beauty of this art form. The workshop includes:
- a brief introduction to Chinese ink rubbing, with reference to rubbings in the Museum
- a demonstration of ink rubbing techniques
- a hands-on ink rubbing session in which participants can create artworks to take home
