The Opening of the Ground Floor Entrance\/<\/strong>Partial Opening of the Ground Floor, Main Library<\/strong><\/p>\n The ground floor entrance to the Main Library will re-open on Monday, 23 April 2018 at 8:30 am.<\/p>\n The new entrance is located at the North side of the Old Wing facing the Main Building adjacent to the Sun Yat-Sen Plaza. The entrance will serve as a point of access to the Main Library and to the future Breakout and Leisure space leading into the\u00a0Think Tank<\/em>\u00a0with its expansive study areas and discussion room.<\/p>\n In addition, with a significant portion of the floor space on the ground floor being completed and the May Revision and Assessment period soon upon us, the Main Library will install temporary carrel seating and open the e-Learning lab to support patron\u2019s study needs during this period.<\/p>\n Minor renovation works will continue with noise levels kept to a minimum.<\/p>\n Two webpages were created to help provide information, phases and architectural images on the renovations and their progress,\u00a0http:\/\/lib.hku.hk\/mltt<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0http:\/\/lib.hku.hk\/lhub<\/a>.<\/p>\n For enquiries and Library services, contact Lending Services and Information Services of the Libraries:<\/p>\n Lending Services (2\/F new counter) – 3917 2202<\/p>\n Information Services (Level 3 counter) \u2013 3917 2203<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Peter Sidorko<\/p>\n University Librarian<\/p>\n
