Real Time Intelligence: United States Live interactive conference call

It barely needs saying that Donald Trump’s presidency has been disruptive, both at home and abroad. In the international arena he has challenged allies, most notably by taking the US out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal and the Paris Climate Agreement. Yet he has also reached out to rivals like China on North Korea. Domestically, his government is making progress slashing regulation, but faces a tougher fight on healthcare and tax reform, as well as on its infrastructure plans. Meanwhile, Mr Trump faces a heightened threat of impeachment as investigations intensify.

Please join a call on June 14th in which there will be an interview of Global Economist, Mike Jakeman, assessing the Trump administration’s performance to date and forecasts for political and economic developments in the US. Amid all the noise, what should investors and observers be focusing on? How likely is it that the president will achieve his goals—or will he even finish a full term in office?

This will also be an opportunity to ask questions, and test the view. The call will last around 30 minutes.

Real Time Intelligence: United States Live interactive conference call

Speakers: Duncan Innes-Ker, Regional Director, Asia Country Analysis and Mike Jakeman, Global Economist

Date: June 14, 2017 (Wednesday) 2:00 PM GMT
