Take A Break Santa Paws session at the Medical and Main Libraries

Dr.Dogd

With the overwhelming demand and positive response from the Libraries’ past Santa Paws and Dr Dog sessions, the University of Hong Kong Libraries will host two Santa Paws sessions during the December 2017 Assessment period.

The first Take A Break Santa Paws session will be held at the Medical Library on 15 December 2017 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. The second session will be held at the 2nd floor Lounge Area, Main Library on 18 December 2017 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

It is well documented that therapy dogs can contribute to calmness and overall emotional well-being. Therapy dog programmes are being offered in many universities around the world, in libraries, university health services and student counselling units. It is hoped that these sessions will benefit HKU students during the assessment period by encouraging less stress and anxiety by taking a break from their studies.
