Personal Information Collection Statements

1. The information provided will be used by HKU Libraries for purposes related to your use of HKU Libraries' computing and networking services.
2. It is possible that any information submitted electronically could be observed by a third party in transit.
3. If you use an online form to enquire information related to your usage of the HKUL's computing and network services (such as online renewal of checked out books), you will be required to enter your personal information for authentication purpose and t he displayed usage information may be accompanied with your personal information.
4. For correction of and access to the personal related information collected by the HKU Libraries, you can submit a signed request to HKUL's Data Privacy Liaison Office.

1. It is necessary for users to provide HKU Libraries with data in connection to their application for, the use or continuing use of certain HKU Libraries computing and network services.
2. Failure to provide such data may result in HKU Libraries being unable to or continue to provide the user certain HKU Libraries' computing and networking services.
3. HKU Libraries will treat the data provided by you as strictly confidential. HKU Libraries may provide such data to the University for administrative and academic purposes. HKU Libraries will not disclose any personal information provided by you to any external bodies or organisations unless you have been informed or it is required to do so by law.
4. You can submit a signed request to HKU Libraries' Data Privacy Liaison Office to request access to or correction of personal data held by HKU Libraries about you. HKU Libraries may charge you for accessing the information.
