About the Talk

book cover image1 "Fat Wars will give you all the ammunition you need to successfully fight your own battle of the bulge" - Ray Sahelian, M.D. Does this statement hold for the people in Hong Kong? Yes and no, as it depends on how much you are willing to sacrifice the local gourmet food on offer. The speaker, Professor Lie Ken Jie, will review some of the strategies outlined by Brad King on how to transform your body in 45 days and explain some of the difficulties. He plans to offer instead a more pragmatic and easy-to-understand approach to battle the bulge. He strongly believes that there is no need to starve oneself, no need to adhere to exceptionally low calorie diets, nor having to abide by the "eat the food you hate to eat" rule in order to lose weight. Life is already hard, why make it harder. He will share with you his philosophy on how to enjoy good food, keep cholesterol at bay and retain a healthy body (not necessarily becoming a 'twiggy'!) in order to enjoy life.
