The Education
Library is renowned for its collection of AV materials. The
collection includes audio- and video-cassettes, slides, transparencies,
computer software, CD-ROMs, CDs, DVDs, VCDs, games and kits. Most of them are
on loan for two weeks. Searching and viewing equipment are available
for audio- and video-cassettes, CD-ROMs, CDs, DVDs, VCDs and slides.
Books
The collection contains mainly
of books related to the Faculty curriculum and to teaching methodology. There is a
small collection of similar materials in Chinese. Most of the books on education
principles and theory are housed on the 4th floor of the Main Library (New Wing).
Examination
Papers and Syllabuses
This is a substantial collection of Hong
Kong and UK secondary school examination papers and syllabuses.
Hong
Kong Textbooks
This is an open shelf
collection that contains local primary and secondary textbooks on most subject areas.
Journals
All education journals are shelved on the 4th floor of the Main Library (Old Wing).
Reference
Materials
This collection contains bibliographies, directories, encyclopedias,
general & specialised dictionaries, handbooks, literature guides, atlases and
reference materials on Hong Kong, etc. Reference materials are for
consultation in the library only.
Reserve
Collection
This
collection consists of course-related textbooks, journal articles,
lecture notes and readings recommended by academic staff. These
materials are for short loan or in-house use. Teaching staff
may request online for materials in the library to be placed
in the Education Library Reserve collection.{

Theses
This collection contains
theses and dissertations of graduates from the Faculty of Education. The items
are held in closed stack in the library and are accessible upon request at the
library counter.
