This downtime is required to address a critical hardware issue on one database.

South China Morning Post withdrawn from WiseNews 1 January 2015

As per the new arrangement between the publishers of South China Morning Post and WiseNews, SCMP will be withdrawn from WiseNews effective from 1st January 2015. Users can access the historic archive (from 1903 onward up to 10 years ago ) via ProQuest’s historical newspapers, and the current 10 years up to today via SCMP.com.

System maintenance(Asahi Shimbun Kikuzo)

Publisher will be performing system maintenance on January 13 from 17:00 to 19:00.

ARTstor: some updates

•    Browsing Image Groups – Image Group Descriptions are now updating when browsing Image Groups.
•    Google Translate – Title text in the Image Viewer window is now translated.
•    Uploading to Personal Collections – When a filename includes a space(s), the full filename is now copied to the Title field in the metadata record.
•    Keyword Searching – Keyword searching now produces the correct number of results when using either the Keyword Search box or an Advanced Search box.
•    Search Result Page Numbers – The number of search result pages now updates when adjusting the display between 24, 48, and 72 Images/page.

Known issue with the Image Viewer: In Internet Explorer 11, you may experience an issue loading an image in the Image Viewer. As a work around, you can scroll to the next image which should load. Then scroll back and you should be able to scroll back. You may also try using another browser.

Please note: With this release, Internet Explorer 7 is no longer a supported browser.
